Get Paid to Write - Make Money Online Writing Reviews in 2009

Possibly the easiest and most straightforward way of making money from blogging is writing paid posts.

The rewards come not only in the form of money into your PayPal account, it’s also a fantastic way of building your credibility as a blogger.

Over the years, the ‘get paid to write’ model hasn’t changed much. You write honest review and you are paid. Plain and simple.

You - the publisher - can either contact the advertisers directly or make your writing available through ‘middlemen’ who take the cut whenever an agreement is reached between you and the advertiser.

All you need to do is to submit your blog into the marketplace for advertisers who are in search of publishers.

It’s a win-win scenario where the advertisers get the publicity and you make money writing reviews that interest you.

Here’s a list of “get paid to write” sites

where you could join and turn your words into dollars and cents.

1. PAY PER POST

Joining is easy as long as your blog has been in existence for 90 days with at least 20 published articles. With a marketplace of $5 to $100 for each review,  you could easily earn $100 in a month.

At the time of this writing, the top reviewer is earning $23,600. Phew! Pay Per Post takes only 10% of the cut and payment is made by PayPal after 30 days.

2. SPONSORED REVIEWS

At Sponsored Reviews, bids are submitted to the advertiser who then selects the blogger to purchase the review from. Once your bid is accepted, you have one week to write the review. No minimum payout. All payment is made bi-weekly through PayPal.

3. REVIEW ME

Once your blog is accepted, the advertiser will hand select you to write a review which pays between $20 and $200 each. You earn 50% of the review price. You can accept and decline the offer.

Payments are made  monthly by check, prepaid Mastercard or PayPal. No referral program in place yet.

4. LINK POST

Unlike some other “paid to blog” sites, Link Post is paying you up to 70% of the review price. Here you set your price and wait for the offer.

Payment is made by check, direct deposit or PayPal with a minimum payout of $25.

5. SMORTY

Smorty is quiet similar to Pay Per Post. If your blog is qualified for the review, you may take it. You can select any topic than interest you or publish in multiple blogs to earn more.

On last check, the top earner is making $2,789.52. That’s quiet a decent earnings for just doing reviews, isn’t it?

6. BLOGVERTISE

“You can review the site, compliment it, relate to it somehow in your daily life, or even complain about it, and link to the website in your blog entry” and you’re paid per each assigned writing task.

The current payout rate is $4 - $15 payable into your PayPal 30 days after the task is approved.

7. BUYBLOGREVIEWS

Very similar to Sponsored Reviews, you bid for the opportunity and the advertiser will then select who to buy the review from.

BuyBlogReviews takes only 30% of the cut and payments are sent every two weeks on the 1st and 15th of every month.

Get Paid to Write

Make Money Online in 2009

Though ‘get paid to write’ is losing its novelty somehow, it’s still a legit source of income for many bloggers to make money online.

If you have a knack for writing (or already exhausting other sources of generating income online), taking this route could be your best option to make money online in 2009.

Keep in mind that some ‘get paid to write’ sites are stricter and choosy than the others. It’s good to have a decent Page Rank too as it’s often one of the most important criteria to be accepted.

PS: Some of the available opportunities are simply junk so choose one that suits your blog. Don’t attempt to make more money at the expense of yours and your readers’ interests.

With just a PayPal account and an active blog, making money online couldn’t be much easier, could it?

You can also include loudlaunch, bloggerwave or socialpark (I think parent of payperpost)

Thanks for sharing, Dalirin. What I’ve recommended above are those that I’ve joined, albeit with a varying degree of success.

I found SponsoredReviews the best among them as it is working for me  . ReviewMe may be good for pro-bloggers but not for all and PayPerPost gives a lot of importance to US/Canada blogs I guess.

Btw, your ReviewMe URL is wrongly formed.

Hi Yan
I have published more than 29 posts. However, my blog is in existence for a month only. Please let me know whether I am qualified to work for any of the above Review sites.
Your information bank is very useful.
Thanks and regards.

Most ‘paid to blog’ sites are very picky with new sites. I suggest you wait for another two months or so before you take the plunge.

Besides, most advertisers are in search of publishers with PR which at this point of time you don’t have it yet. So even you’re accepted, there will be less opportunities open for you.

Anyway, thanks for dropping by and welcome to SR.

Wow, this is incredible. I’d never even heard of this concept but it sounds like a great way to translate your blogging into potential income. Thanks for the information on pay-to-blog sites, I’ve now got a new target for earnings on my blog.
