How to Cure Genital Warts?

Genetal Warts

Genetal warts are very uncommon infections on the skin. They are located on the genitalia of course on both males and females. This includes on the penis, vagina, and anus.

They are transmitted sexually or from direct skin-to-skin contact. It can be during regular sex, oral, or any other type involving the use of genitalia.

Warts on the genitalia mainly take place in clusters or in some cases very small and spread out. On males, genital warts usually occur on the tip of the penis, but can even be on the shaft, scrotum or around the anus. For females, they can be on the inside or outside of the vagina, even on the uterus.

Particles from the viral can pierce through the skin which occurs in the sexual exercise. HPV (human papillomavirus) is the medical term for genetal warts and there is no absolute cure.

Treatment for Genital Warts

People who have visible warts on the genitalia can treat them by applying creams such as podofilox or imiquimod. Your doctor can perform a liquid nitrogen cryosurgery which is safe for pregnancy. It terminates warts 71-79% of the time, although they will come back 38% of the time so stay in touch with your doctor.

HPV is much more common now. In North America about 1% of the sexually active population has some sort of HPV; whether it be a harmless or very serious case.

In 2004 studies show that 70% of new HPV infections are cured within a year just by taking care of it and not letting it become much worse. There are up to 91% that clear within two years. Much more serious cases can take several years or even more.

Some men are mislead to thinking they have HPV when it is really HPG (hirsuties papillaris genitalis). HPS does not need any treatment and is not contagious. Topical creams and genital wart remover can be purchased at your local pharmacy or drug store to get rid of genital wart and not let it become worse.

But if you prefer more natural treatment done at the comfort and privacy of your own home, there are many home remedies for genital wart. One of those is the use of Vit E and garlic.

Make a compress of vitamin E oil and crushed garlic. Put the compress on the wart(s) and cover with a bandage to keep it in place. This will cause the wart to fall off.

However, it’s best to seek for medical advice before you elect to remove genetal warts on your own — lest it worsen the most important part of your body.
